Hey I’m Vishal,
I’m a designer from the UK aiming to apply interdisciplinary problem-solving to tackle complex problems. I’ve worked in various different companies in different roles and capacities, including startups, scale-ups, non-profits, accelerators, and venture capital.
I’m a member of the founding cohort of a startup university called the London Interdisciplinary School, a university founded on the idea that modern problems cannot be tackled with a single discipline alone and teaches full-spectrum thinking alongside qualitative and quantitative research methods.

My unconventional university
My university experience was very unconventional, and you’ll often hear me say “interdisciplinary problem-solving” when I’m trying to keep my answer short, but here’s a little more detail…
My university experience was rooted in tackling complex (“wicked”) problems – challenges too interconnected and dynamic for any one discipline alone. I was part of the founding cohort at the London Interdisciplinary School (LIS), a startup/challenger university built around the idea that tackling real-world problems requires integrating perspectives across the arts, sciences, and humanities.
At LIS, I learned methods ranging from design thinking and ethnographic research to data science, machine learning, and natural language processing. Combining these disciplines allowed me to approach problems holistically, adapting as systems evolved and goals shifted – preparing me to thrive in fast-paced and mission-driven environments.
